Hungary produces wine of considerable value. The Hungarian Ministry of Agriculture was keen to protect the investment made by the country’s wine manufacturers and guarantee the value of the product.

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) has been used in wine screening across Western Europe very successfully to authenticate and protect wines but this is the first time the technology has been employed in Eastern Europe.
