Freya’s work is primarily concerned with the effectiveness of outbreak response systems in resource-limited settings, and their management in outbreaks of uncertain aetiology. In addition to this, Freya also participates in applied and policy work on complex health emergencies with Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) and the World Health Organization (WHO).
Lucy Lawrence will be speaking with Freya to explore how scientists can predict an outbreak of an emerging disease, what happens when things go wrong as well as looking to the future to see where the future of the space is heading.
