Protein glycosylation plays important roles in processes including protein folding, cell signaling, enzymatic activity and adhesion and thus is a key co- and post-translational modification.
Given our experience over the past decade measuring N-linked glycans cleaved from monoclonal antibodies (mAbs), pure glycoproteins, as well as from complex mixtures, we know the limitations of measuring glycans using currently available mass spectrometry platforms. Accurate identification of the N-linked glycans on mAbs requires a multifaceted approach including retention time, accurate mass, tandem-MS and ion mobility.
This webinar discusses an analytical approach for N-linked glycan analysis using the SLIM-based high-resolution ion mobility platform MOBIE. Results will be shown for each aspect of the overall strategy and how this platform can be an integral part for the characterization of protein therapeutics.
